Associate Security Operation Center Analyst
Join our 24/7 Security Operation Center (SOC) and help protect both internal and customer IT infrastructure. As an Associate SOC Analyst, you will monitor and respond to security incidents, analyze alerts and threats, and work with a range of security tools. The role is a great opportunity to develop your cybersecurity expertise through hands-on experience, training and certifications.
You will be working in a 24/7 Security Operation Center (SOC) and together with us you will have these tasks:
Main responsibilities:
• Continuously monitoring security alerts and events to detect potential security threats
• Analyzing and prioritizing alerts based on the severity and potential impact of the threat
• Investigating security incidents, identifying the root cause and taking appropriate actions based on established procedures
• Escalating incidents to higher-level analysts or other teams when necessary
• Documenting and tracking security incidents in the ITSM system
• Conducting basic threat analysis and using available threat intelligence to enhance detection capabilities
• Operating and maintaining security monitoring tools and providing input on tool configurations
• Communicating findings and incident details to team members and other stakeholders
• Generating reports on security incidents and monitoring activities
• Participating in continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team
Security tools and areas you will work with:
• Security Information & Event Management (SIEM)
• Antivirus (AV)
• Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
• Vulnerability Management (VM)
• Threat Intelligence (TI)
• SOAR (Security Orchestration and Automatic Response)
• Intrusion Detection / Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
• DNS, TCP/IP networks and protocols
• Cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
Job requirements
Minimum requirements:
• Service-minded and a team player
• Structured, detail-oriented and committed to the quality of your work
• Able to communicate your professional knowledge to both end-users and experts
• Self-driven and solution-oriented
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly assess and respond to security incidents
• Minimum understanding of DNS, TCP/IP networks and protocols
• Minimum understanding of Antivirus, IDS/IPS, SIEM, SOAR and Vulnerability Management tools
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Keen to learn and willing to take part in trainings and certifications
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift rotation, including nights, weekends and holidays
• To undergo security check by the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET)
